Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-manager Shruti Modi’s lawyer claims she had offered to quit after learning about his drug consumption

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) also started a probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case after Enforcement Directorate ( ED) found a drug conspiracy based on their interrogation of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik. NCB booked Rhea, Showik, Jaya Saha, Gaurav Arya and Shruti Mod for their alleged dealings in banned drugs.

The latest reports state that Sushant’s ex-manager Shruti Modi has confessed that drugs were very much a part of the culture around him. Shruti even claimed that she had offered to resign when she came to know about Sushant’s involvement in drugs.

According to Times Now report, during the CBI interrogation, Shruti Modi has apparently confessed to drugs being a part of the culture around Sushant. Shruti allegedly has even said that she was not into narcotics and she was just a facilitator in the dealings.

As per the same report, Shruti said that it was Sushant’s staff, Rhea, her brother Showik Chakraborty who were the part of the dealings and she was being forced to be a part of it.

Interestingly, Shruti’s lawyer Ashok Saraogi has said that she had offered to resign after she came to know about Sushant’s involvement in drugs. Ashok told Times of India, “When Shruti found out about it after 10 days of joining, Shruti decided to quit but Sushant told her to stay back and told her that he will not be a party to it. So she continued to work as his manager on this condition.”

Shruti’s lawyer even claimed that her name is unnecessarily dragged in the case may be because Sushant’s sister has some grievances against her. “It is possible that Shruti did not follow the instructions of the sister, so they may have some grievances. They wanted certain account details from her which she declined to part with. Sushant’s sister Priyanka had spent his money in April 2019,” Saraogi said.
