While Mumbai Police has been investigating Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case, but his fans and followers are not satisfied and they have been demanding for a CBI probe. Also, yesterday, Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty requested Home Minister Amit Shah to initiate a CBI enquiry into the matter. But Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh thinks that a CBI probe is not required.

She wrote, “Respected @amitshahofficial sir , I’m sushant Singh Rajputs girlfriend Rhea chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise . I have complete faith in the government , however in the interest of justice , I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter . I only want to understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step(sic)”.

Anil Deshmukh told Mid-Day, “I have the tweets and the campaign. But I don’t think that a CBI probe is required. The Mumbai Police is competent enough to handle such cases and they are investigating every aspect of the case including professional rivalry. As of now, we do not see any foul play. Details of the investigation will be shared once it is completed.”

Meanwhile, Ishkaran Singh Bhandari, the advocate appointed by BJP MP Subramanian Swamy has written a letter to the Mumbai Police to keep the flat of Sushant ‘sealed’ and ‘preserved’ till the investigation ends. Even, Mr Swamy wrote a letter to PM Narendra Modi requesting for a CBI enquiry into Sushant’s case.
