Ever since Kangana Ranaut gave the explosive interview in which she called out Bollywood biggies and labelled some of her colleagues as ‘B-grade’ actresses, the social media has erupted with yet another debate on ‘Outsider Vs Insider’. Now we have Kangana and Taapsee at loggerheads.

After Kangana called Taapsee a ‘B-Grade’ actress, the latter has been taking the jibe at her. The ‘Thappad’ actress even shared an old video from one of Kangana’s interview in which she was defending the star kids and their privilege. That sounds unreal, right? Well, it’s true at one point in her career, Kangana openly justified the privilege star kids enjoy.

Journalist Anna Vetticad shared an excerpt of her video interview with Kangana in which she is heard saying that star kids enjoying the perk of their lineage is just like the quota system. Explaining her point, the ‘Queen’ actress says, “The kind of background I come from, my father is a businessman, my mother is a teacher, my grandfather is an IAS officer and my great-grandfather is a freedom fighter… When I was giving my pre-medical entrance test, I had a particular quota for me because I come from this particular family. When I come here, how I look at star children is that they have 30% quota, how I had. I am just trying to come into their territory. If somebody else tried to give the pre-medical test, they wouldn’t get that percentage of quota. This is how I look at it.”

Now sharing the same video, Taapsee wrote, “Ooooooooh. Saara kasoor yeh quota system ka hai! Chalo this was simple to understand. Ho gaya solve. Simple. All good now in our ‘territory’ or their ‘territory’ matlab jiski bhi hai aap samajh jao yaar.”

Journalist Vetticad had also revealed why she is sharing this video now. I hesitated to bring this up since I don’t want a discussion on nepotism derailed & (this is a golden rule of journalism) I don’t want to make this about myself. But #Ranaut‘s team left me with no choice by circulating a tiny clip from this show to claim I shamed her. ..The full interview is on YouTube – do watch for yourself. And now, let’s talk – seriously – about #mentalhealth, nepotism, class and other crucial issues that are being overshadowed by self-absorbed individuals & agenda-driven groups since #SushantSinghRajput‘s passing,” she tweeted.

We wonder what Kangana has to say about her differing point of views on the same topic over the years. Until then you guys stay tuned to this space.
