Last year, Tanushree Dutta’s accusations against Nana Patekar led to the start of the #MeToo movement in Bollywood. Post that, several big names like Sajid Khan, Alok Nath and Vikas Bahl were accused of sexual harassment.

Recently, there were reports that Tanushree Dutta will be making a short film on the #MeToo movement. In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actress called the reports untrue and said, “The reports are untrue. The short film has nothing to do with #MeToo or any real life stories. It is also not written by me. It is inspirational and motivational content where I have spoken from my own insight and journey into Bollywood to help newcomers navigate the tricky waters and avoid exploitation.

In the same interview, she added, “The film marks my entry into the motivational/inspirational genre.This year I want to utilise all that I have learnt, the insights that I have gained and share a message of hope, redemption and restoration to the world and help guide lost souls.

Well, we hope that the film manages to hit its mark and does extremely well.

Tanushree Dutta made her Bollywood debut with ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ in 2005. She also won the Femina Miss India Universe beauty pageant in 2004.
