Navjot Singh Sidhu seems to be going through a bad phase. His statements post the Pulwama attacks have cost him a show and in fact, he has been even banned from entering Filmcity. Now, veteran actor Victor Banerjee has lashed out at the former cricketer for his political views.

Victor commenting on Sidhu’s pacifist views told Bollywood Hungama, “Sidhu, whom I privately politely tolerated as a farcical joker with Bollywood aspirations up to now, is a disgrace to the great Sikh people who have, for centuries, sacrificed thousands of lives for Hindustan, for India.”

“Doubting our armed forces’ integrity and honesty is a disgraceful travesty,” he added further. Sidhu, however, is unfazed by all the criticism coming his way. The cricketer-politician has gone on record and said that he stands by his statement. He added that he will not get bogged down and continue to express his views in the future as well.

Post his controversial remark, Sidhu was replaced as a judge from Kapil Sharma’s family entertainer ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Though the channel hasn’t issued an official statement yet, buzz is that the show’s producers are waiting for the matter to cool down before they bring Sidhu back.
