‘Chak De India’ actress Vidya Malavade has seen the high and lows in her career. After ‘Chak De India’, the journey was not that easy for her as many people thought of. When she was not working for some years, Vidya went to London, Kerala and other places to do courses on acting and then she bagged ‘Inside Edge’ Season 2 and then ‘Flesh’, ‘Kaali’ and ‘Mismatched’ happened. In an exclusive interview with us, Vidya said, “You just have to keep working towards your dream and leave the rest to whatever power you believe in. It will happen. You just have to keep going with blinders on to pursue your dreams.”

She continued, “The point where I was not working at all, wasn’t very easy. When the lowest hits, it really hits but only after a low, you can feel high. I was unceremoniously plucked out of a series that I was a part of and I dealt with it. As an actor, I feel that you experience so much of the ‘no’s and so few of the ‘yes’ you are on, it’s very difficult to keep that space in your head alive and active and positive and sometimes it’s so difficult to just wake up and do my practice. Whether you are the most famous, richest, successful or more beautiful or none of that, life is going to get you. There is no way out. It’s just that how you fight and come out of it, that’s what makes you and your personality inspiring for others.”

She added, “After ‘Chak De’, one would have expected that I would do lot more films, and I had signed a lot of films and then there was this sudden crash that happened, the economy crash and all the films that I signed either didn’t take off or they took off or got super delayed. I could have cribbed and cried. The other way to look at it is just thanks to your stars and say ‘I got Chak De’ when so many actors don’t even get something like that. I mean today after years people still message me and tell me about the film. People are actually remembering my work and what I have done. I just have nothing but gratitude towards everything that comes to my life and that doesn’t come. God has a plan. You can keep planning but He is the one who has got it sorted. So just leave it to Him.”
