Akshay Kumar and Mallika Dua's remark controversy

Many would be aware that currently actor Akshay Kumar is the super judge on the reality show ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’. The show featured Zakir Khan, Hussain Dalal and Mallika Dua, who were the mentors (to the contestants) on the show. Recently, there was this update that they were being replaced by Shreyas Talpade and Sajid Khan, due to TRP issues. Before this controversy could die down, the show has been mired in another, rather serious matter. Akshay Kumar is under the radar for making a rather unpleasant and sexist remark on Mallika Dua, which has not gone down well with many people, even latter’s father, prominent journalist, Vinod Dua.

He (Vinod Dua) has taken to his Facebook account lashing out at the actor for making an insensitive remark at his daughter Mallika. He has shared a video clip and has written that specific line which has made him angry. He has written, ““Mallika Ji aap bell bajao, mai aapko bajata hoon”. This is Akshay Kumar to his coworker Mallika Dua on the sets of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.” [sic] (Also Read: Akshay and Katrina finally teaming up after 7 years for this film?)

This video clip is going viral on the social media. In fact, even Mallika took to her Twitter handle quoting retweeting this video clip shared by SheSays. She has said, “So, I want humor to be limitless. I also don’t want to be uncomfortable at my work place 🙁 The lines are blurred. Thoughts?” [sic]
