Salman Khan Tiger Zinda Hai

The makers of Salman Khan-starrer ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ were on lookout for a large back-lot for shooting. With twofour54 (a media and entertainment free-zone from Abu Dhabi) joining hands with Yash Raj Films, director Ali Abbas Zafar’s search ended there! A large 20,000 sq. Meter set is presently in the making in Abu Dhabi.. The makers have also hired Acropolis DMG, a leading organisation that excels in designing sets for films.

Over 150 workers have started working on the sets and it will continue for almost 100 days. Interestingly, many of these workers had also worked on the sets of ‘Star Wars’ that was built in Abu Dhabi as well.

Rajnish Hedao from Acropolis DMG is primarily designing the sets. Ali Abbas Zafar and team are also receiving active support from UAE military which is helping with several equipments and choppers, reports The New Indian Express. “A film like Tiger Zinda Hai requires a certain scale, which we found in Abu Dhabi. Keeping all the practical measures in mind, the kind of support we got from twofour54 on the infrastructure was phenomenal. That along with some stunning real locations makes shooting in Abu Dhabi special,”  the director told the daily.

Over the past few years, Abu Dhabi has gained popularity as a convenient venue for filming with adequate facilities being available. The UAE Government is keen to water this development, and is therefore, glad about YRF’s association with Abu Dhabi.

Before moving on the sets, the crew (consisting of over 300 people from UAE, India, UK and USA), is scheduled to shoot at a few other locations of the city.
