Diljit Dosanjh’s latest film based on the life of Indian Hockey player, Sandeep Singh, has hit the ball straight in the net. ‘Soorma’, which is made on a budget of Rs 20 crore, collected approximately Rs 3.25 crores on its opening. However, the second day turned out to be fruitful as the movie saw an upward trend by 57.81%.

Shaad Ali’s directorial earned a good amount of Rs 5.05 crore on the day two and is expected to grow further. The positive word of mouth about the sports drama is leading people to the theatre to witness the applaud worthy journey our Flicker Singh (Sandeep Singh).

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh shared the second-day figures of ‘Soorma’ on his Twitter account and wrote, “Soorma saw an UPWARD TREND on Day 2… Growth on Sat [vis-à-vis Fri]: 57.81%… Positive word of mouth is reflecting in the BO numbers… Sun biz expected to grow further… Fri 3.20 cr, Sat 5.05 cr. Total: ₹ 8.25 cr. India biz.”
