Ever since Dhurandhar: The Revenge was announced during the post credit scene of the Aditya Dhar espionage thriller released on December 5, fans have been eagerly waiting for March 19 to arrive. With the trailer released last week, the hype surrounding the Ranveer Singh-led action spy thriller has only increased and the same is evident in its preview show ticket sales. Not only are the shows on March 18 going houseful, but fans are paying extraordinary prices to watch the film a day before it actually releases.

Dhurandhar 2 Ticket Prices Soars

As per a Variety India report, the costliest ticket for Dhurandhar 2’s costliest preview show is nearly Rs 3,000. As per their report, moviegoers will need to shell a whopping Rs 2,900 to get a recliner prime seat at the INOX Megaplex in Mumbai. Shocked? The cost to purchase tickets in several other INOX Megaplexes across the city also comes with similar price tags. While fans in Mumbai will have thousands to watch the film a day before its official release, the cost of tickets in South India is relatively quite low. As per the report, the cheapest ticket at Chennai’s AGS Cinemas is just Rs 59. At this price, a cine lover in Tamil Nadu would get access to a seat in the Pearl category at the mentioned cinema hall.

Presented by Jio Studios and produced by Aditya Dhar’s B62 Studios, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is written and directed by Dhar. The espionage thriller is co-produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. The spy action thriller will see Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor and Gaurav Gera reprise their roles from the first film.

Unlike the first instalment, the upcoming high-octane spy-action spectacle will release in five languages — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. It will release in cinemas globally – aside from the Gulf belt, Pakistan a couple more countries, on March 19, coinciding with Gudi Padwa and Ugadi. A majority of the paid previews – scheduled to take place on March 18, are on route to become houseful.
