Gadar 2 box office: Sunny Deol’s massy actioner ends its third weekend on a winning note, collects Rs 456.05 crore

Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer action entertainer Gadar 2 is having a triumphant run at the box office even in its third week. Even in its third week, the film continues its successful run and continues to shatter records. The film has emerged as the second highest grosser of 2023 after Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan. It has surpassed Yash starter KGF 2 and grabbed a third position in the list of all-time top grossers after Pathaan (Rs 543.05 crore) and Baahubali 2 (Rs 510.99 crore).

Sunny Deol expresses gratitude

The Gadar 2 actor took to his social media account and shared a heartfelt post on the completion of 300 crores at the box office. Sunny shared a picture of himself with a cake featuring the poster of the film. He wrote: “They say Love can’t be measured but I feel so much love coming from all of you each day, everyday (sic).”

About Gadar 2

Directed by Anil Sharma, the film is a sequel to the 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel, and Utkarsh Sharma have all returned to play Tara Singh, Sakeena, and Jeete in the sequel. This time, Tara Singh defies all odds as he has to set his son free from the clutches of the ruthless Pakistani army. The movie was released in theatres on 11 August 2023. At the box office, it competed with Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam starrer OMG 2 and Rajinikanth’s Jailer. Now even Dream Girl 2 has been released and it is performing extremely well at the box office.
