Haunted 3D Echoes Of The Past Box Office
As reported by trade tracking portal Sacnilk, the Mahaakshay Chakraborty (Mimoh Chakraborty), Chetna Pande and Hemant Pandey-led horror flick managed to perform better than almost all the other theatrical releases this week. According to their report, the film collected an estimated Rs 2.50 crore nett in India from 2,907 shows across the country.
The reports noted that the film’s bulk earnings came from its Hindi version – which contributed Rs 2.45 crore through 2,842 shows. The film’s Telugu-dubbed version earned the film approximately Rs 5 lakh from 65 shows. While the film’s nett total stands at Rs 2.50 crore, its India gross collection stands at around Rs 2.95 crore.
This nett total is more than the combined totals of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata and Main Vaapas Aaunga. According to the portal, the Kangana Ranaut-starrer minted Rs 1 crore at the domestic box office while the Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari and Vedang Raina-led drama collected Rs 1.25 crore. Given the intense box office collection owing to multiple releases this week, the film’s opening day collection is being viewed as a positive for a horror title.
About The Film
Giving the film a 1.5 star rating, Bollywood Bubble wrote in its review, “Haunted 3D: Echoes Of The Past attempts to revive a popular horror franchise but ends up feeling like a relic from another era. Despite a potentially engaging premise and a few atmospheric moments, the film is weighed down by a predictable story, ineffective scares, and underdeveloped characters.” It further read, “Horror fans looking for genuine chills may leave disappointed, while casual viewers might find little reason to stay invested in this ghostly tale.”
