Khichdi 2 opened to good numbers at the box office, despite being released on limited screens. On Day 2, the movie witnessed 22% growth and earned Rs 1.35 crores.

Khichdi is one of the popular comedy dramas on Television. The success of the show was followed by sequels which also became available in 4 different formats. Khichdi: The Movie was released in 2010. And now, its sequel, Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan released in theatres on 17^th November. Despite Tiger 3 storm, Khichdi 2 recorded a decent opening at the box office. It also witnessed growth on Day 2 and earned Rs 1.35 crores.

About Khichdi 2

Talking of its plot, the Parekh family is sent on a mission to the fictional town of Paanthukistan to take down its King and his dictatorship. They later discover that the King of Paanthukistan looks exactly like Praful. The family chooses to take advantage of this and change the village while looking out for themselves. The comedy-drama features Supriya Pathak Kapoor, Jamnadas Majethia (JD), Rajeev Mehta, Anang Desai, Vandana Pathak, and Kirti Kulhari in pivotal roles.
