Kajol’s mythological horror film Maa was released in theatres on June 27 and has completed a steady first week at the box office. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film has performed well despite competition from big releases like Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par and the action-packed Kannappa.
MAA Box Office Collection Day 8
Maa has earned around Rs 27.50 crore in its first eight days. On day eight, it collected Rs 1 crore, following Rs 1.5 crore on day seven, according to early estimates by Sacnilk. Although the film hasn’t had huge single-day earnings, strong word-of-mouth has helped maintain stable collections.
