Qarib Qarib Singlle first weekend collection

This week saw the release of two films, Irrfan Khan and Parvathy-starrer ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’ and Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda-starrer ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’. Both the films took a slow start at the box office, but showed growth. However, ‘QQS’ showed some really good upward trend.

The Tanuja Chandra directorial collected Rs 1.70 crore on day one, Rs 3 crore on Saturday, and Rs 3.50 crore on Sunday, taking the three-day collection to Rs 8.20 crore. It is to be noted that the film showed a good growth over the weekend. If it stays stable over the weekdays, then this will surely be a winner at the box office. On the other hand, ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ too showed a growth, but it couldn’t manage to collect as much as ‘Qarib Qarib Singlle’. The Ratnaa Sinha directorial collected Rs 3.65 crore in its first weekend. The collection is below average, and this movie too needs to be stable at the box office to at least come in the safe zone.

Talking about ‘Ittefaq’, in its second weekend the movie has collected Rs 3.40 crore, taking the till date total to Rs 24.29 crore. If not a hit, this movie is not even a flop. We can call it a semi-hit flick.
