War 2 Box Office: Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR Actioner Sells 1.44 Lakh Tickets In Advance Booking; Hindi Version Leading In Sales

August 14 is set to see one of the biggest box office clashed of recent times as Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR’s War 2 and Rajinikanth’s Coolie release globally. With just days left until the big budget actioners make it to the silver screen, the advance booking reports of both films are making the headlines. A recent media report has now surfaced stating that the upcoming YRF spy universe film has sold nearly 1.5 lakh tickets already. Scroll below for the details.

As per the most recent Sacnilk report, War 2 has sold over 1.44 lakh tickets nationally within days of advance booking opening. As per the breakup, the Hrithik Roshan-Jr NTR starrer has sold nearly 1.2 lakh tickets in the Hindi belt alone. As per this data, the Hindi version has sold the most tickets across languages. While the Hindi language bookings are off to a solid start, the Telugu version opens for reservations tomorrow. Analysts predict caution that War 2 is being assumed to be primarily a Bollywood production and may likely not enjoy the automatic regional boost that big-ticket Tollywood films typically get.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Waar 2 is based on a script written by Shridhar Raghavan, Abbas Tyrewala and Aditya Chopra. The upcoming actioner – the sixth instalment in the YRF Spy Universe, sees Hrithik Roshan returning as Major Kabir Dhaliwal alongside Jr NTR as Vikram and Kiara Advani in a pivotal-but-still untitled role. It also stars Ashutosh Rana and Anil Kapoor as well as Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in cameo appearances and ‘Khalid Rahmani’ Tiger Shroff via old pictures.

Complete with high-octane stunts, sleek visuals, and an all-star cast, the film promises to take action cinema to the next level. War 2 will release in Hindi, Telugu & Tamil on August 14, in time for Independence Day.
