His party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has taken an early lead, intensifying public and media attention around him. Amid this political momentum, actor Trisha Krishnan was spotted visiting his Chennai residence on her birthday, adding another layer to the ongoing buzz.

According to recent HT reports, TVK led in around 110 of the 234 seats at the time of reporting. On the same day, May 4, Trisha marked her 43rd birthday. She began her day with a darshan at Tirumala Temple, a ritual she has followed over the years. Dressed in a white kurta suit, she entered the temple with her team. Later, she stepped out wearing a red-and-gold shawl and posed briefly with temple authorities.

Soon after, Trisha headed to Chennai. By the afternoon, she arrived at Vijay’s beachfront residence in Neelankarai. She changed into a green outfit and was seen entering the premises in her car. She did not interact with the media gathered outside but smiled as she went in. Security outside the residence appeared tighter than usual, likely due to the ongoing election developments. The actress left the residence a while later. Once again, she avoided questions but acknowledged the cameras with a smile.

The sighting quickly reignited speculation about Vijay and Trisha’s equation. The two have worked together in several films, most recently in Leo (2023). Earlier this year, their joint appearance at a colleague’s wedding reception in Chennai also went viral, fuelling rumours.

Adding to the chatter, Vijay’s wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, made details of their divorce proceedings public. In her petition, she alleged that Vijay was involved with a fellow actor, though she did not name anyone. Vijay and Sangeetha filed for divorce in December 2025.
