EXCLUSIVE: Aditya Uppal Talks About Akshaye Khanna’s Viral Dance Step In Dhurandhar; Says, “Whatever He Touches Turns To Gold”

Actor Aditya Uppal has made his big-screen debut with Dhurandhar, where he played ASP Omar Hydar, the trusted right hand of Sanjay Dutt’s powerful character, SSP Chaudhary Aslam. The film has been creating strong buzz, especially for Akshaye Khanna’s menacing antagonist and his now-viral dance step that has taken the internet by storm.

In a recent conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Aditya spoke about the unexpected popularity of Akshaye Khanna’s performance. Sharing his admiration, he said,“I think Akshaye Khanna is always amazing. We were working together, we were doing some scenes together, but this scene in particular was not shot in front of my eyes, and we were not at all aware that this was going to be such a huge popular thing. The music is addictive, what he has done in his own raw form is amazing.”

Aditya further praised Akshaye’s unique working style and screen presence. He added, “I think he brings his own charm to the sets. He’s that kind of person who will just come, do an amazing thing and just disappear. That’s his beauty. Whatever he touches turns into gold. Whatever you see online on Instagram, Google, Meta, or YouTube is getting reach because people are loving him in his own original format.”

Talking about being part of Dhurandhar, Aditya expressed how special the project is for him, especially as his debut film. He shared, “I think Dhurandhar is one film that doesn’t take away from the fact that the script is the most important thing. It’s a story everybody wants to be part of. And when the captain of the ship is Mr Aditya Dhar it cannot go wrong at all.”

He concluded by highlighting why saying yes to the film was an easy decision. “Looking at the star cast and the kind of content the film offers, the decision was simple. Whatever the role size, small or big you want to be part of a massive project like Dhurandhar.”

With a strong debut, a powerful ensemble, and a gripping storyline, Dhurandhar has clearly given Aditya Upaal a promising start in Bollywood.
