When asked if, after the success of Raakh’s Babu, he feels that makers will typecast him into negative roles, Akash Makhija responded, “Mujhe lagta tha ki ek time tha jab typecasting bahut hoti thi. Aaj mujhe lagta hai cheezein badal rahi hain, kyunki audience bhi evolve ho rahi hai. Maine Babu kiya aur uske 10 din baad Govind bhi kiya. Agar aap Gram Chikitsalay ke reels dekhoge aur comments padhoge, ya Reddit dekhoge, toh kisi ne likha tha, ‘It’s impossible for me to accept that Govind is the same guy who played Babu.”

He continued, “Usne likha ki show dekhne ke baad woh aadhe ghante tak internet par articles search karta raha sirf yeh confirm karne ke liye ki kya yeh sach mein wahi actor hai. Usne toh yeh bhi kaha ki uski kisi se shart lag gayi thi ki yeh dono alag actors hain. Toh I think if I can diversify myself to this level. Casting directors aur directors bhi samjhenge ki I have this also to offer. Isliye mujhe nahi lagta ki ab woh mujhe typecast karenge. Because I have already shown aur bhi bahut kuch kar sakta hoon.”

Akash Requests For Different Roles & Projects

Concluding, the actor said, “But again, right now I’m not in a position to ask for a lot. Maine bas ek project diya hai jo work kiya hai. Main aisa insaan nahi banna chahta jo bole, ‘Script leke aao, phir dekhte hain.’ Mujhe kaam karna hai. Bas meri request hai ki agar aapko lagta hai maine is shade mein achha kaam kiya hai. Please mujhe kisi aur shade mein bhi mauka dijiye. I can surprise you there as well. I can only request.”
