EXCLUSIVE: Akash Makhija REACTS To Fans Comparing Raakh’s Babu To Irrfan Khan, Ashutosh Rana; States, “I Don’t Buy That”

Akash Makhija has been earning widespread praise for his intense performance as Babu in Raakh, with many viewers even drawing comparisons between his screen presence and actors like Irrfan Khan and Ashutosh Rana. While such appreciation has generated excitement among fans, the actor remains grounded about the recognition. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Makhija opened up about how he views these comparisons, stressing that he is still at the beginning of his journey and does not believe it is fair to place him alongside cinematic legends. Akash Makhija REACTS To Fans Comparing Babu To Irrfan Khan, Ashutosh Rana

When asked about his reaction to his character Babu being compared to Irrfan and Ashutosh Rana, Akash Makhija said, “I don’t buy that comparison. Obviously jab log aisi baatein bolte hain toh bahut achha lagta hai. But mujhe pata hai ki unhone abhi show dekha hai aur woh us emotion mein bol rahe hain. Mera kaam toh abhi shuru hua hai. Main abhi us category mein nahi aana chahta, kyunki woh bahut badi baat hai aur honestly, fair bhi nahi hai.”

He added, “Aapki comparison legends ke saath nahi honi chahiye. It’s too early for all of that. Mujhe bahut achha lagta hai jab log bolte hain ki meri aankhen Irrfan Khan ki yaad dilati hain, ya log Dushman wali performance se Babu ki performance compare karte hain.”

Concluding, Akash said, “Performances ki comparison theek hai. Lekin ek legendary actor ki comparison kisi aise insaan se karna jisne abhi shuruaat ki hai, mujhe fair nahi lagta. Main isse compliment aur appreciation ki tarah leta hoon. Lekin mere dimaag mein ratti bhar bhi yeh nahi hai ki main unki jagah aa gaya hoon. Bilkul nahi.”
