Chetan Hansraj on playing Bindusar in Pracchand Ashok

Talking about how this role is unique, he shared, “It’s a very different character. Like normally I have been playing negative roles for a long time. So from wearing all this jewellery and this kind of outfit which is so royal and looking nice is something amazing.”

On reuniting with Rakshanda Khan after Bhramrakshas and Naagin 3

The show also stars Rakshanda Khan as Helena, Chandragupta Maurya’s wife from Greece. The actors have previously worked together in shows like Brahmarakshas and Naagin 3. Sharing how is it reuniting with Rakshanda, Chetan quipped, “The only thing that I just teased Rakshanda is that last time she was playing my wife. Now she is playing my mom. But yeah she is a fabulous actor and comfortable to work with. And she is super professional, always sweet, always helpful and making everybody feel at home.”

About getting his due in the industry

The actor further shared how his 45 years in the industry have been and what has been his takeaway from the ups and downs he went through. “I have been working in the industry for 45 years and I am always grateful that I am getting opportunities. So ya I always got my due. But in the end, acting is a career and so ups and downs are a part and parcel. You should never feel that you have not got your due. Even Salman Khan had his ups and downs. Even Ranbir Kapoor had his down lately but then he again he came up. Bobby Deol also was nearly out and again he came back. You have to be strong inside because in this industry, you might be working for six months but sitting home for the rest of the time. So how you can perceive reality in those times is what really matters. Like in this industry, you have to be in it to win it. It can be 30 seconds and your life can change”, says Chetan.

Chetan expresses the desire to do Bigg Boss

On a parting note, expressed a desire to be a part of Bigg Boss. He remarked, “I am looking forward to doing Bigg Boss someday. Hopefully, I get a chance to be a part of it. Because I think I will do a good job. Talking about this year, I am very happy that Munna (Munawar Faruqui) and Abhishek (Abhishek Kumar), who are very dear to me, both were in the finals.”
