EXCLUSIVE: Pracchand Ashok actress Mallika Singh reveals why she rejected Bigg Boss 17: I was not mentally ready for it

Mallika Singh received tremendous love for the portrayal of Radha in mythological show RadhaKrishn. She is now gearing up for Pracchand Ashok on Colors TV alongside Adnan Khan. Ahead of the mythological show, reports were rife that Mallika was approached for Salman Khan hosted show Bigg Boss 17. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Mallika Singh revealed why she refused Bigg Boss 17 and getting typecasted after Radhakrishn.

During the candid conversation, we asked Mallika what was her reason of turning down Bigg Boss 17. To this, she replied, “It is something I don’t know about and so I don’t want to comment on. But all I can say is I was not mentally ready for it.”

On getting typecasted after Radhakrishn

We also asked Mallika if she feels getting typecasted as this is her second historical show. She remarked, “It’s not about that. Logo ko lagega ki mai aise roles enjoy karti hu but see the gap between what I did earlier and what I am doing now. It’s a one-year difference. I have been waiting for good opportunities and it’s not easy. And again, it’s completely different from what I did earlier and what I am doing now.”

Talking about if she belives breaking Radha’s image is tough, she averred, “I don’t want to break that character, I want to live with that as it is close to my heart. With good memories and whatever I have learnt from that, I want to grow ahead and make this work.”

Talking about Pracchand Ashok it traces the journey of emperor Ashoka and Mallika essays the role of princess Kaurwaki. The show will start on Colors TV from 6^th February and stream on Jio Cinema. Watch the full interview here:
