Eisha Singh

Eisha Singh has always been an actor who chooses characters that allow her to explore something new, and her journey reflects the many shades she has brought to the screen. Be it Dhaani in Ishq Ka Rang Safed or Zara in Ishq Subhan Allah and now Juhi in Mui, Eisha has always played characters with different personalities.

During an exclusive interaction with Bollywood Bubble, Eisha got candid about playing different characters on screen and how they influence her in real life.

Eisha Singh On Her Evolution From Dhaani To Juhi

Speaking about her evolution from Dhaani to Juhi, Eisha Singh said, “I feel extremely grateful that I have got the opportunity to play such different characters at different stages of my career. Dhaani, Zara and Juhi are completely different from each other, and each character has taught me something new. As an actor, that is what I constantly look for characters that challenge me and make me step out of my comfort zone.”

She further added, “When I played Dhaani, there was a certain innocence and simplicity to her. She was emotionally strong, but her strength came through her values, her belief system and the way she handled everything life put in front of her. Zara, on the other hand, had a very different personality. She was more outspoken, strong-headed and had her own opinions. Playing both characters at different points in my life helped me understand how much an actor can transform when the character demands it.”

Eisha Singh continued, “With Juhi, the experience has been completely different because there are so many layers to understand and portray. Juhi is not a character that you can approach only from the outside. You have to understand her emotional world, her mannerisms and the way she experiences situations. While performing, there are moments where you become so deeply involved with the character that certain traits stay with you even after the scene is over. That has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding parts of playing Juhi.”

Eisha Singh: The Journey Has Been Incredibly Special

Adding to it, Eisha said, “I think every character leaves a little bit of itself with you. Dhaani taught me innocence and resilience, Zara taught me confidence and the courage to voice your thoughts, while Juhi has taught me sensitivity and a completely different way of looking at emotions and human behaviour. When I look back at these characters, I realise that they are not just roles I have performed; they have also contributed to my growth as a person and as an actor.”

She concluded, “For me, the beauty of being an actor is that you don’t have to remain the same. You get the opportunity to live so many different lives, understand different people and discover new aspects of yourself along the way. From Dhaani to Zara to Juhi, the journey has been incredibly special because each character has given me something that I will always carry with me. I hope I continue to get characters that surprise me, challenge me and allow the audience to see a different shade of Eisha every time.”

Eisha Singh made her acting debut in 2015 as Dhaani Awasthi Tripathi in the daily drama Ishq Ka Rang Safed. She then played a pivotal part in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, before winning hearts as Zara Siddiqui in Ishq Subhan Allah and Suhani Sharma Oberoi in Sirf Tum. After also starring in shows like Bekaboo and Naagin 7, Eisha now plays the lead in Colors’ Juhi Mui.

Besides shows, she has also participated in Bigg Boss 18 and Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment season 3.
