Eklavya Sood On Shooting The Bengal Files’ ‘Traumatising’ Violent Scenes
Talking about how mentally and emotionally taxing it for him to film the violent scenes in The Bengal Files, Eklavya Sood replied, “It was honestly very traumatising. There were nights I couldn’t sleep because of the bloodshed Amar witnesses and goes through. I remember one action sequence during the Direct Action Day riot where Amar is left in the heart of the battle, surrounded by unimaginable brutality. Even after the director called ‘cut,’ I couldn’t stop crying for almost ten minutes. It shook me to the core.”
During the same conversation, the actor also revealed his first reaction to reading about the violence his character faces in the film. He said, “The first time I read the script, I knew it was going to be gory, raw, and hard-hitting. But I was also looking forward to it, because characters like Amar push you to go deeper not just as an actor, but as a human being.”
