Jennifer Mistry became a household name in no time. She was widely known as Roshan from the sitcom TV Show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actor called it quits on March 6 after she shot her last episode. Jennifer made some shocking revelations about being mentally and sexually harassed on the set of TMKOC. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Jennifer revealed the contract being made after Shailesh Lodha left TMKOC.

Jennifer made a revelation about the conditions and process of the show. She said, “Why would I stay when I don’t have a contract? No one had a contract after three years. We only had a contract after Shailesh Ji left.” Shailesh Lodha, popularly known as Taarak Mehta left TMKOC last year, adding on she said, ” It was after September 2022 when they started making contracts again. They feared that people would leave just like that.”
Talking about how she signed the contract, Jennifer said “I had gone back home as my brother passed away, I didn’t even pay attention and signed it in a lost state of mind in my grieving period.”

Talking about the mental harassment on the show, Jennifer said, “I was feeling very suffocated. It was more than extreme. I would cry so much.”
She further opened up about almost being forced to work, she stated, “Sohail said he would not give me the money for the last four months and I would have to work for six more months.” She further added “He said I would have to work till the time they found a replacement for my character no matter how long it takes. I wasn’t even allowed to take on other work and they wouldn’t even assure me how much they would call me on the sets.”
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah started in the year 2008 and since then it has had more than 3,000 episodes. It also gave the television industry with some of the most iconic characters.
