EXCLUSIVE: Meezaan on being a star-kid: Chahe tum kisike bhi bete ho, tum acha kaam nahi karoge, then audience will reject

Actor Meezaan who is the son of actor Jaaved Jaffrey made his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Malaal. He then went on to do Hungama 2 and now he is gearing up for the release of Yaariyan 2. The star kids hailing from a filmy background have an easy way to the film. However, Meezaan feels that no matter who their father is, at the end of the day, their work speaks. He feels that if the star kids don’t do good work, people will reject them immediately.

Meezaan talks about his filmy family

When asked if certain tags and terms affect him, Meezaan exclusively told Bollywood Bubble, “I don’t think there’s any kind of baggage or any pressure being attached to a filmy family. I think my family is very different from filmy families. It’s not ever in front of the camera or anything like that. My father believes in just doing his work and keeping to himself. He believes in doing good work and that’s the most important (thing). At the end of the day, your work speaks. Toh chahe tum kisike bhi bete ho agar tum acha kaam nahi kar rahe ho toh audience tumhe immediately reject kar hi dengi. (No matter whose kid you are, if you don’t do good word, the audience will reject you immediately).

Meezaan shares his views on working hard

The Malaal actor further said, “At the end of the day, you have to work hard and you have to perform because that’s what you’re there to do. What I truly personally believe in… see hard work everyone has to do at the end of the day. Opportunities will also come and go but are you true to yourself? Are you really being yourself in the process? Or are you losing yourself in the process and are you showing something else to the world? There are so many people who are showing something else and people are getting a different perception. But that’s not what they are. Everything is a lie.“

“These are said by people and they throw money and buy it so I don’t believe in all this at the end of the day. You will not believe me now but over the years my work will speak. They’ll understand me. I truly believe in being myself and if I am myself, the audience will see that someday or the other,” Meezaan concluded.

Hungama 2 actor speaks about his idea of love

During the same conversation, he also spoke about love. “Love… I don’t know. I feel it’s a sacrifice at the end of the day. It’s a big sacrifice. I think you should be willing to let go of things that you might have to change about yourself. But when you truly love somebody, you are willing to let go of a lot of things and sacrifice those things in order to get that person back or keep that person in your life or keep that person happy or whatever benefits that work. You need sacrifice from both sides but you need to be willing to make that sacrifice as well, right?“

Meezaan will be next seen in Yaariyan 2 along with Divya Khosla and Pearl V Puri. The movie is set to release on October 22.
