neil bhatt, aishwarya sharma, bigg boss 17

Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma met on their successful show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin. The duo fell in love and eventually got married in 2021 during the course of the show. Just a few months ago only, they left the show to embark on a new journey, and it has brought them to Bigg Boss 17.

Neil and Aishwarya are one of the couples who entered Bigg Boss 17. And before his entry, the actor got in an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble. Neil Bhatt spoke about the connection of shows between him and Aishwarya Sharma and the possibility of celebrating their 2nd wedding anniversary inside the show. He also revealed his reaction to his wife making it to the finals of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 and more. Excerpts:

You met your wife on a show and now you are coming on a reality show with her. Does it all feel like written in the stars?

“Actually. We haven’t been able to plan things in our life. Aishwarya got free from Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin about a month-and-a-half before me. And we had thought that we will take a vacation after we both get free from the show. It was because due to the show, we could never have a proper trip. I couldn’t even take Aishwarya on our honeymoon. The 3 day-trip we took to Dubai, I don’t even consider that. So, after GHKKPM, we spent some quality time together and even said no to any work. Then, Bigg Boss just came and things aligned.”

How proud did you feel of Aishwarya making it to the finals of Khatron Ke Khiladi 13?

“I can’t even tell you how proud I felt when she told me that she made it to the finals. I had tears in my eyes. She didn’t have any time to prepare for the show. There were only 5 days that she had in which she had to complete all the formalities. So, she couldn’t prep for anything and just went in blind. I just told her before going that don’t take any pressure. Go happily and just absorb all the experience. If you win, it’s great, if you don’t, still I will be here and love you as much. And I was very proud when I got to know that she was the first finalist.”

Your marriage is quite new. You will complete 2 years just next month and amidst that comes a place where your marriage would be on full display. Does it make you feel anxious about that exposure?

“I don’t think it is my whole relationship on display as at the end of the day, it is just a show. I feel that people forget that it is a game show and not the whole life. So, it’s better to see it through entertainment purpose. If two individuals work together at any place, there will be times when you agree and times when you don’t. So, it’s all a part of being in such a show. Sometimes there will be arguments, but we will focus more on our game rather than the arguments.”

You got huge success with GHKKPM and after that, Bigg Boss 17 is your first show. Do you somewhere feel that you should have capitalised your success in fiction shows more before coming here?

“I think I have capitalised enough on the fiction bit. It has been 16.5 years for me in the industry. I have done a lot of leads during this while and many of them have been path-breaking amongst them. So, I am very proud of my fiction journey and it doesn’t mean that I am ending my fiction journey any time soon. Just this opportunity came my way and I took it up. It doesn’t mean that I won’t do fiction shows after it.”

There are high chances that you might get to celebrate your second wedding anniversary on TV with the whole world. Does that excite you?

“Of course it does. It’s such a special moment for us. To get to celebrate our second anniversary in the Bigg Boss 17 house would be like ‘sone pe suhaga’.”
