EXCLUSIVE: Perin Malde Recalls Meeting Shah Rukh Khan Years After Billu On Jawan Sets; Shares Special Moment That Left Him ‘Honestly Shaken’

From working as a child artist to steadily making his place as an actor after growing up, Perin Malde has shown a journey built on patience and consistent effort. After appearing alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Billu as a child artist years ago, he has now moved ahead in his career and was recently seen in Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla.

As he continues to grow, Perin talks to us about meeting SRK years after acting alongside him in the 2009 film. From how King Khan is on sets to why he was left ‘shaken’ after an interaction, read on to know all Malde had to tell us.

Perin Malde On Meeting Shah Rukh Khan Again After Years

Perin Malde – who worked as a child artist in Shah Rukh Khan’s Billu, recalled meeting the superstar years later while he was working as an assistant director on Jawan. Recalling the moment, Perin said, “I actually happened to meet Shah Rukh sir, again. We were shooting this promo for Jawan, and I was working as an assistant director on that project. That was another time when I saw him work so closely and be in the same room while we were both doing our jobs.”

He further added that being around the superstar made him realise that everything said about him is true. He shared, “That day, I realised every story about him – his kindness, his aura, and how good he is at his job. All those stories are 100 per cent true. It made me understand again why he is such a great star and such a respected human being.”

Perin Malde also spoke about how Shah Rukh Khan treats people on set with warmth and respect. The ‘Bhooth Bangla’ actor said, “You see him being so good at his work, but at the same time, he is so nice to everyone. He makes people feel important and does his job with complete sincerity, even at this stage of his career.”

Perin On Working With SRK In Jawan

Recalling a personal moment, Perin said, “I remember I was standing next to him, holding the script. He’s very quick — he reads the line, memorises it in seconds, and then performs it. He is truly a director’s actor. He asks the director about the tone, does a few rehearsals, and then delivers what works best.”

What surprised him the most was a small but meaningful interaction. Perin Malde recalled, “After performing, he looked at me and asked, ‘What do you think? Was it right?’ I was honestly shaken. That’s Shah Rukh Khan asking me for feedback.”

He concluded by saying that it is these small gestures that leave a big impact. For Perin, that moment was not just about meeting a superstar again, but about understanding the humility and professionalism that define Shah Rukh Khan even today.
