EXCLUSIVE: Shanthi Priya Recalls Her FIRST Meeting With Anurag Kashyap; Anjali Sivaraman Calls Working With AK A ‘Dream Come True’ Moment

Bad Girl is a coming-of-age drama that follows a young woman’s journey through self-discovery and challenges. The film stars Anjali Sivaraman in the lead role and is backed by two of Indian cinema’s most respected names – Vetrimaaran and Anurag Kashyap. It is produced under Vetrimaaran’s Grass Root Film Company, with Anurag Kashyap also joining as a co-producer. The cast of Bad Girl recently shared their thoughts on working with Anurag Kashyap.

Veteran actress Shanthi Priya remembered her first meeting with the filmmaker and how unexpectedly he became involved with the project. Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, she said, “First day when he came on set, he was seeing the monitor and we talked, I thanked him for giving me this opportunity. That was the only chat we had. I never interacted with Anurag Kashyap sir but only after the first schedule I come to know that he is showing interest and will come on board.”

Lead actress Anjali Sivaraman also expressed her excitement about having Anurag Kashyap support the film. She shared, “It was a surreal experience, he is a powerhouse in the film industry, people who are highly respected and to see value in our movie, it felt like we were doing something right. With AK sir, he is someone who I have admired and wanted to work with for so many years. For me it was like a dream come true. It was a great feeling that he was so enthugastic and excited about the film.”
