Shehbaz’s Father REACTS To Bigg Boss 19 Contestant Using Shehnaaz Gill’s Name

When asked about Shehbaz Badesha using his sister Shehnaaz Gill’s name in Bigg Boss 19, their father Santokh Singh Sikh responded, “Nahi, yeh dekho, yeh baat sahi hai. Kaun hai Shehbaz? Kaun hai woh? Koi celebrity thodi hai. Shehbaz, Shehnaaz ka naam hai. Log usko kaise jaanenge? Shehnaaz ke naam se hi jaanenge na, uska bhai hai. Shehnaaz us par jaan deti hai. Dono ek-dusre ke liye jaan de sakte hain — bhai-behen ka pyaar hota hi aisa hai. Toh woh kyun nahi le sakta Shehnaaz ka naam? Uski behen hai.“

He added, “Agar aapka koi bhai-behen ho, toh aap kyun nahi loge unka naam? ‘Yeh mera bhai hai’, ‘Yeh meri behen hai’, bilkul loge.Agar usko apne bhai-behen ka naam lene se koi faayda hota hai, toh mere hisaab se har banda lega. Toh woh kyun nahi le sakta? Agar main aaj yahan baitha hoon, toh main bhi Shehnaaz aur Shehbaz ki wajah se baitha hoon.”

Santokh continued, “Toh mera bhi haq banta hai. Uska bhai hai, uski behen hai. Aur usne toh khud andar bola hai ki ‘Main aaya hoon, uske dum pe aaya hoon.’ Jisko bolna hai bole — par aaya uske dum par hi hai. Shayad Bigg Boss ne bhi isi wajah se usko entry di hogi. Lekin kar toh woh ab apna hi raha hai na. Game toh apni hi khel raha hai na. Jo uske andar hai woh dikh raha hai na. Shehnaaz thodi andar help kar rahi hai. Kuch logon ko accha lagega toh winner banega, nahi toh bahut bade-bade log Bigg Boss se bahar nikal gaye. Woh abhi tak andar hai, kuch toh kar raha hai, tabhi andar hai. Aaya behen ki wajah se, theek hai — lekin game toh apni khud ki khel raha hai.”

Speaking about the rumours of Bigg Boss 19 being biased towards some contestants, Santokh said, “Mere ko ek baat ki hansi aati hai. Bahar log bolte hain ki ‘BB 19 hai Amaal aur Shehbaz ko leke’. Aur andar bol rahe hain ki ‘Bigg Boss 19 hai Gaurav Khanna ko leke.’ Haan, kahin na kahin baat ek nahi hoti na. Yeh hota kya hai? Jaise Gaurav ke fans hain, ya Farhana, ya Kunicka ji, ya Tanya ji ke hain — woh toh inko bura hi bolenge. Aur inke jo fans hain woh unko bura bolenge. Woh unke liye haters ho gaye, woh toh bolenge. Koi nahi, bolte hi rahenge. Unse kya fark padta hai? Apni game khelega, aage badega.”

About Shehbaz Using Shehnaaz’s Name Controversy

The controversy surrounding Shehbaz Badesha’s repeated mention of Shehnaaz Gill and their past connection to the late Sidharth Shukla during Bigg Boss 19. Critics like fellow contestant Divya Agarwal accused him of exploiting their names for votes and attention, labelling his tactics opportunistic.

The issue was addressed on the show when Salman Khan reprimanded Shehbaz, urging him to rely on his own merit rather than leveraging past associations. Shehbaz argued that Sidharth Shukla’s fans would support him due to his bond with Shehnaaz, but the public largely reacted negatively, calling him an “opportunist” and a “delusional parasite” for using the late actor’s name for clout and sympathy votes.
