Ssanjay Gaggnani, known for his work in popular television shows such as Kundali Bhagya, Naagin 4 and several other projects, has won audiences over with his versatility and consistent performances over the years. While fans often witness the success and recognition that come with being an actor, Ssanjay recently reflected on the challenges, disappointments, and lessons that shaped his journey.
Ssanjay Gaggnani: Missed Opportunities, Near-Misses & Uncertainty Shaped Me The Most
Reflecting on the biggest rejection of his career, Ssanjay tells Bollywood Bubble that it wasn’t one particular setback that affected him the most. He shared, “Rather than one particular rejection, it was the accumulation of missed opportunities, near-misses, and periods of uncertainty that shaped me the most.”
According to the actor, those experiences taught him patience and helped him understand that his self-worth should never be tied to a casting decision. He said, “A role may reject you, but that doesn’t mean life has rejected you.” He further explained how the industry taught him resilience while rejections strengthened his self-belief and helped him build an identity beyond his profession.
Ssanjay: Faith Became My Biggest Source Of Strength
When asked what kept him going during phases when projects weren’t working out, Ssanjay credited faith and spirituality for helping him stay grounded. “Faith became my biggest source of strength during that phase,” he revealed. Realising that happiness cannot depend entirely on work, the actor turned inward and embraced spirituality more deeply. He shared that his journeys to Kedarnath and Tungnath, devotion to Mahadev, meditation, fitness, and spending time with loved ones played a significant role in helping him navigate difficult times.
Professionally, Ssanjay continued training, auditioning, and preparing for opportunities, while personally focusing on self-growth. “I stopped asking, ‘Why isn’t this happening?’ and started asking, ‘What is this phase trying to teach me?’ That shift changed my perspective,” he said.
Today, the actor believes that every setback carries a purpose. “Every delay carries a lesson, and every challenge prepares us for a greater purpose,” he concluded, leaving behind a message of hope, patience, and resilience for those facing uncertainty in their own journeys.
