Alia Bhatt has officially arrived at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival. After making a memorable debut at the festival in 2025, the actress is all set to walk the red carpet once again. The actor will attend the inaugural ceremony on May 12 as India’s global ambassador for L’Oreal Paris. She was spotted at Mumbai Airport early Monday morning as she headed to the French Riviera.

For Cannes arrival, Alia chose a tailored blazer with puffed shoulders and a cinched waist, paired with matching skinny trousers. She completed her monochrome look with Gucci accessories. Alia maintained a sleek and sophisticated appearance with a semi-corporate silhouette that seamlessly combined high fashion with subtle elegance.

As Gucci’s global brand ambassador, she carried the iconic Jackie 1961 Medium Shoulder Bag in black leather and completed her look with round-frame Gucci sunglasses. Her ensemble was paired with Manolo Blahnik Carolyne 70 black satin slingback pumps. It exuded a sharp and polished vibe as she arrived in Nice ahead of the festival.

Which Celebrities Will Attend Cannes 2026?

This year’s Cannes Film Festival will feature a strong Indian presence across various industries and regional cinemas. According to ANI, alongside Alia, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will also return as a global ambassador for L’Oreal Paris. Representing Punjabi cinema, Ammy Virk is making his Cannes debut with his film Chardikala, alongside co-star Roopi Gill. Ashutosh Gowariker will attend as part of India’s official delegation. He will be representing the International Film Festival of India as its director.

Ashok Saraf and Nivedita Sara will be representing Marathi cinema. Prajakta Mali and producer Kedar Joshi will be attending too. Mansi Parekh and singer-producer Parthiv Gohil will represent Gujarati cinema. From the Malayalam film industry, filmmaker Chidambaram will present his film Balan: The Boy at the Cannes market. Filmmaker Karan Johar, along with actors Tara Sutaria, Mouni Roy, and Pooja Batra, will also be present at the event. The festival will run from May 12 to May 23 in France.
