A friend in sunny days & lonely nights; a companion in moments of sadness and expressions of happiness, in fondness and in emptiness. Gulzar doesn’t remain a writer or poet or a lyricist anymore, he is an institution himself. We have had very few maestros who have found their ways with words so powerfully. Gulzar, with his magical phrases, stirs us apart, brings the real “us” which we have treasured inside. He tears us apart, he brightens us up too.
