There are celebrities, who are born with a golden heart. And, even after their death, they are remembered for their kind deeds. During the successful career of celebrities, many make humanitarian efforts. But there are celebrities who continue to do good or help the needy, after their death. After the demise of a celebrity, the family is usually forwarded with lifetime earnings. However, there are a few Bollywood celebs who have given their properties to charity, after their death.

Lata Mangeshkar (1929-2022)

Known as the Nightingale of India, Mangeshkar left for her heavenly abode on February 6, this year. She was 92. Reportedly, the legendary singer had prepared a will and wanted her property to be donated to the charity. Lata Mangeshkar breathed her last at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. She was admitted to the hospital after she contracted COVID-19. Her last rites took place at Shivaji Park in Mumbai’s Dadar with state honours.

Sidharth Shukla (1980-2021)

The Bigg Boss 13 winner breathed his last on September 2, 2021. He was 40. According to reports, the Balika Vadhu actor haad a will and wanted his properties to be donated to charity. Reports suggested that Shukla’s net worth was Rs 50 crore. Sidharth Shukla passed away in his Mumbai’s Andheri residence. His last rites took place on September 3 in Oshiwara and was attended by many celebrities.

Sushant Singh Rajput (1986-2020)

The death of SSR came as a big shock to the entire nation. The Chhichhore actor passed away on June 14, 2020. As per reports, Sushant Singh Rajput, who did many charities before his demise, had donated some amount of his wealth to charity. After SSR’s sudden and untimely demise, his family made a decision to donate his property to charity.

Irrfan Khan (1967-2020)

The Life of Pi actor breathed his last on April 29, 2020, at a Mumbai hospital. He was 53. Irrfan Khan is survived by his wife, Sutapa Sikdar, and sons- actor Babil Khan and Ayaan Khan. After Irrfan’s death, his wife announced that she would donate a massive sum of the actor’s property to charity. As per reports, Sikdar donated around Rs 600 crores to charity.

Sridevi (1963-2018)

The sudden and untimely demise of the Sadma actress broke the hearts of millions. Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai. After her demise, her husband, producer Boney Kapoor donated half amount to charity. He also built a small school in a village. The fees for seeking education at the school is free of cost for the students. Sridevi’s mortal remains were brought back to Mumbai after her demise and her last rites were performed in the city.
