Stylish star Allu Arjun won hearts with his performance as Pushparaj in Sukumar directorial Pushpa: The Rise. The movie went on to be a block buster hit.  Not only Allu Arjun’s acting skills but also the songs, dialogues and action was much loved by fans. Pushpa’s signature walk  went on to become a rage among the masses.

Recently during an interview with India Today. Allu Arjun opened up about how his now-famous walking style in the film was born. He said, “Sukumar Garu said, I don’t know what you do, but everybody has to walk like you.” Later, he came up with the idea of sloping shoulder body language, as he felt it would be “easily imitable”.  The rest is history.

The stylish star added, “The idea wasn’t to impress the whole country but it was a great by-product. If your local audience is impressed, then automatically the energy transfers and the aura spreads.”

Allu Arjun’s iconic walking style grabbed attention in the song Srivalli. The track soon went viral with many trying out the hook step. Not only the hook step but Pushparaj’s hand gesture while saying the dialogue, ‘Main jhukega nahi sala’, is a rage among his fans.

Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise,broke several box office records. It entered the Rs. 100 crore mark in Hindi belts, and went on to mint 300cr worldwide. The film is also the first ever Indian album to hit 5 Billion views.

The makers are now all set to roll Pushpa The Rule in August. Rumour has it that Vijay Sethupathi has also joined the team for a pivotal role.
