Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa has been creating a lot of buzz since its announcement. The posters and teaser have doubled the excitement. Due to the current Covid-19 crisis, the shooting has been stalled. Also, actor Allu Arjun had recently tested Covid positive and he is currently under home quarantine.

Half of the film is completed now. As per a report in Telugu360, Pushpa will be made in two parts. Director Sukumar and Bunny had long discussions about the same and they informed the same to Allu Arjun. The actor asked Sukumar to go ahead. As half of the film is completed, the remaining portions will be completed in two more weeks after the shoot resumes.

Sukumar is currently looking at the rough cut of the film and is finalizing the content. The first installment of Pushpa will release in theatres this year. The makers were looking for October 13 and they were also eyeing for Dusshera or December release but it will depend on the pandemic situation. The second installment is expected to release during the second half of 2022.

Earlier, Pushpa’s release date was officially announced. It was slated to release on August 13 in theatres. Then the same portal reported that the makers of Pushpa decided to release it on December 17 across the globe. The official announcement is yet to be made. Pushpa is made on a budget of Rs 160 crores. It is a pan-India film that will release in multiple languages-Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi simultaneously.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, Pushpa also features Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Dhananjay, and Sunil among others.
