South Superstar actor Suriya Sivakumar posted on his social media platform that he is covid positive and currently under treatment and the good news is he is feeling better. He has tweeted in his mother tongue which says, “I am undergoing treatment for Covid-19 and am better now. Let us all realise that life hasn’t returned to normalcy yet. We also cannot be filled with fear and let life come to a standstill. We still need to be careful and safe. Lots of love and gratitude to the dedicated doctors and medical staff standing by my side.”

After the post, actors have started wishing to get well soon messages to the Singam 3 actor. Actor Jayam Ravi also sent his good wishes to actor Suriya. He wrote, “Prayers for a speedy recovery sir (sic).”Actress and politician Khushbu Sundar, in a tweet, wished him a speedy recovery. She wrote, “Wishing you a very speedy recovery. Prayers”.

On the work front, Suriya recently completed shooting for the upcoming Netflix original film Navarasa. This project also marks Suriya’s reunion with director Gautham Menon after many years. They had earlier worked together in Tamil films Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram. The film will feature nine shorts directed by nine filmmakers on the theme of nine ‘rasas’. The project marks the digital debut of actors Suriya and Vijay Sethupathi.

Suriya was last seen in director Sudha Kongara Prasad’s Soorarai Pottru, which released on Amazon Prime Video. The movie was directed by Sudha Kongara and the movie also starred Paresh Rawal, Urvashi and Mohan Babu. The movie, based on the life of GR Gopinath, the man who established the low-cost airline Air Deccan in the country, received warm responses from fans and critics.

Suriya also has the Netflix film Navarasa, which he completed the shoot for. The film is a collection of nine short stories directed by 9 filmmakers and Gautam Menon has directed Suriya’s short. The project is produced by Mani Ratnam and filmmaker Jayendra and marks Suriya’s digital debut.

Coming back to the actor’s health here’s wishing him a speedy recovery.
