Veteran Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu passes away; Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and others mourn his demise

Veteran Malayalam actor Nedumudi Venu is no more. On Monday, he took his last breath. He was 73. On Sunday, he was rushed to a private hospital due to his health conditions. He had recovered from Covid-19 infection but was admitted to the hospital again after he developed uneasiness. The actor was admitted to ICU and a few hours back, there were reports that his condition worsened.

Actors like Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Khushbu Sundar and others have mourned the death of Venu.

Prithviraj Sukumaran wrote, “Farewell Venu uncle! Your body of work and your expertise over the craft will forever be research material for generations to come! Rest in peace legend! #NedumudiVenu”.

Dulquer is heartbroken by the demise of Nedumudi Venu and sharing an old pic of himself with the actor, he wrote, “💔💔 Rest in Peace Venu uncle ! One of our finest actors and one of the kindest human beings.
#heartbroken #unfathomableloss #RIP”.

“Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of a great legendary actor #NedumudiVenu Sir. Not only was he a great actor but also a wonderful human being. Had the honor of my husband directing him in one of his films. Will miss him. May his soul rest in peace. #RIP 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏,” tweeted Khushbu.

Apart from Malayalam films, Venu also played key roles in Tamil films like Indian, Anniyan. He had acted in over 500 films in his career. He won three National Awards and three Filmfare Awards, including the Lifetime Achievement.
