Did you know that Henry Cavill had auditioned for the role of James Bond in 2006? But he was rejected as they asked him to lose weight saying he was not fit for the role and he was too young as well. But now that Daniel Craig has stepped down as the unbeatable 007 agent, Henry Cavill’s name seems to have been thrown on the table once again. Well, Henry himself would mind being James Bond as he is open to the opportunity.

As per a report by The Sunday Times, Henry believes to ‘never say never’ to the role, he said, “Time will tell. You don’t know which direction they want to take Bond in and so I like to say that everything’s always on the table.”

The King’s Man director Matthew Vaughn also recently expressed that he wants Henry Cavill to be the next James Bond. Matthew is prepping for a spy franchise with Argyle and he may have tapped Herny Cavill to play the lead. In an interview with Collider, Vaughn said, “Henry Cavill, that man was born to play Bond. When you see how he is in this film, I was just like, wow, this guy is everything you’d imagine Bond to have been, or be.”

As per reports, Hollywood insider Charles Murphy recently said, “The producers are open to exploring some really interesting options. One possible route is to take Bond down a totally different route by bringing in someone MUCH younger than anyone we’ve seen so far. Craig was 38 when he took over the role and I am told that the studio is open to going even younger than that.”Ultimately, as a young British lad who loves cinema, I’d love to be James Bond. So, y’know, I’m just putting that out there. I mean, I look pretty good in a suit! I’d be like a really short James Bond.”
