The Federation of Western India Cine Employees announced on Wednesday that it has withdrawn the non-cooperation directive issued against Ranveer Singh regarding his exit from Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 after the Dhurandhar star sent a legal notice to the organisation. The decision came following an intervention by the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association, the Producers Guild of India, and the Cine & TV Artistes’ Association.
FWICE Conducts Press Conference On Ranveer Singh’s Don 3 Exit Row
During the press conference, FWICE’s Ashoke Pandit said, “Mr BN Tiwari has signed this letter. Subject: To the present General Secretary of the Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association (IMPA), and M. Abhay Sinha, President of IMPPA. Regarding: Your appeal concerning the non-cooperation directive issued against Mr Ranveer Singh. We have received your letter dated 30th May 2026 and have carefully noted its contents.”
He added, “At the outset, we would like to place on record our deep respect and admiration for IMPPA, being the oldest and one of the most respected organisations representing producers in the Indian film industry. Over the years, IMPPA has consistently worked towards the welfare, safety, security, and unity of all stakeholders in the industry, always treating the fraternity as one extended family. The efforts and contributions made by your esteemed association towards maintaining harmony and safeguarding the interests of the industry are truly commendable and highly appreciated.”
FWICE Withdraws The Directive Against Ranveer Singh
Pandit continued, “We have always stood in support of what is right for the industry. And we have never hesitated to raise our voice against any wrongdoing affecting the dignity and interests of the film fraternity. It is in this spirit that we sincerely appreciate the concern and intervention shown by IMPPA and its President, Mr Abhay Sinha, in the present matter concerning Mr Ranveer Singh. With utmost respect to your appeal, and considering the larger interests of the industry and its members, we hereby convey that we are withdrawing the non-cooperation directive against Mr Ranveer Singh with immediate effect.”
Continuing, he said, “We are taking this step in good faith and with the trust and assurance extended by IMPPA that the matter shall be addressed with all concerned parties at a serious and constructive level, with an endeavour to arrive at an amicable, fair, and mutually beneficial resolution at the earliest. Further, we would like to inform you that we are scheduling a press conference wherein the withdrawal of the non-cooperation directive against Mr Ranveer Singh shall also be formally announced, in the interest of maintaining transparency and goodwill within the industry.”
Ashoke Pandit Extends Gratitude To IMPPA
He said, “We once again extend our gratitude to IMPPA for its guidance, concern, and continued efforts towards preserving the unity and integrity of the film industry. Based on the request of the producers, IMPA, WIFPA, and the General Secretary of CINTAA, we are withdrawing the non-cooperation directive that we had imposed, effective immediately. We have been assured that all producer bodies will sit together and arrive at an appropriate decision in which neither the producers, nor the directors, nor the actors will face any difficulties. If this process had not been initiated, no solution would have emerged. We have withdrawn our action to facilitate a resolution.”
Ashoke On Legal Procedures
He concluded, “There is neither anyone’s victory nor anyone’s defeat in this matter. As far as the legal notices are concerned, our legal department is responding to all legal notices. And that process is ongoing.”
