Jolly LL.B 2

The recently released courtroom drama ‘Jolly LL.B 2‘ did a business of Rs 6.75 crore nett on its first Monday. The numbers are not that good as compared to the weekend collection, but then considering the fact that it is a weekday, it was bound to happen.

The movie which is based in Uttar Pradesh did not do well in Delhi NCR, East Punjab and other circuits. Today being Valentine’s Day, it could help boost the numbers. The overall business of the movie is around Rs 54 crore nett. (ALSO READ: Ouch! The last sequence of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ is copied from this video)

By the looks of the numbers, the movie could make a business of around Rs 70 crore nett by week one. This Friday, there will be three new releases, ‘Running Shaadi’, ‘The Ghazi Attack’ and ‘Irada’. So, the chances for ‘Jolly LL.B 2’ to make good business in the second week are less.

The movie has failed to beat the first Monday business of Akshay Kumar’s previous films like ‘Housefull 3’, ‘Airlift’ and ‘Rustom’. The movie which was to release in Pakistan faced a ban from their Censor Board committee as they weren’t happy with the depiction of a Kashmiri militant in the movie.

‘Jolly LL.B 2’ is written and directed by Subhash Kapoor and stars Akshay Kumar, Huma Qureshi, Annu Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla in main roles. The movie released on Feb 10, 2017.
