Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal‘ which released last December, opened to a massive response and the box office numbers are still pouring in as the movie released in China recently. A recent report had stated that the movie has grossed Rs 2000 crore worldwide and considering the huge success of the movie, one could easily believe it to be true.

However, a spokesperson has now clarified that the movie has not crossed Rs 2000 crore as yet. The spokesperson said, “We have been reading a lot of reports saying that ‘Dangal’ has crossed 2000 crore worldwide. Just to set the record straight, we want to clarify that Dangal’s official worldwide gross collection figure as of Thursday is 1864 crore.” The spokesperson further said, “We are very happy that our film has been so successful, and what is of most value for Aamir Khan and the entire team of ‘Dangal’ is the immense love the film has got from the audience across the globe. So, there is still some time before ‘Dangal’ crosses the Rs 2000 crore mark in its worldwide business. The movie directed by Nitesh Tiwari starred Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim, Suhani Bhatnagar and Aparshakti Khurrana.
