Deepika Padukone reacts to rivalry rumours with Priyanka Chopra

Ever since Deepika Padukone made inroads into the West with her debut Hollywood movie ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’, she is being compared with Priyanka Chopra, who has already done American shows and is geared up for ‘Baywatch’. A lot has been said about the two A-list actresses not sharing a great equation off screen and that they share cold vibes. Although, none of the actresses have ever spoken about their alleged rivalry in public, the stories refuse to die down. Also, the fact that they are the only two Bollywood actresses to make it to the Forbes’ list of richest actresses.

Now recently, Deepika Padukone was quizzed by a leading magazine about her so-called rivalry with Priyanka Chopra. Her answer was quite diplomatic. DP said, “We have had very different beginnings. I still remember I was in school when she won Miss World! I’ve known her for many years and nothing has changed. Everyone will have a different path and a different journey. What she wants from her career will be very different from what I want and that needs to be understood and respected.”

She played it really safe with this answer right? Well, whatever be it, we would definitely love to see the Mastani and Kashibai of Bollywood create magic onscreen again.
