Begum Jaan tax free Jharkhand

Vidya Balan-starrer ‘Begum Jaan’ will be hitting the screens on April 14, 2017, and even before its release, the film has received a tax-free status in Jharkhand. The director of the film, Srijit Mukherji, shared this news via Facebook.

He wrote, “Delighted to announce that Begum Jaan has been declared tax free in Jharkhand and has also been given a subsidy of 2 cr under the Govt Policy of Promotion of Jharkhand as a Film Destination.”

‘Begum Jaan’ is produced by Mahesh Bhatt, and also stars Gauahar Khan, Ila Arun, Pallavi Sharda and Naseeruddin Shah in the pivotal roles. The movie is the Hindi adaptation of Srijit Mukherji’s Bengali film ‘Rajkahini’ which had released in 2015. It starred Rituparna Sengupta in the lead role.
