Shah Rukh Khan's Raees passed by CBFC

Central Board of Film Certification has cleared Shah Rukh Khan-starrer ‘Raees’ with mere six verbal audio cuts, giving it a U/A certificate.

Coincidentally, Hrithik Roshan-starrer ‘Kaabil’ too has been passed on the same day with the same certificate by the Censor Board, with four verbal cuts which the makers did not have any objection to.

‘Raees’ is based on the life of a bootlegger, so we are guessing that the verbal cuts might have been a few cuss words or something like that which might not be appropriate for a family audience.

‘Raees’ is all set to hit the theatres on January 25, and the makers along with Shah Rukh Khan are leaving no stone unturned to promote it. Even though now the clash with Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ is inevitable, the makers of ‘Raees’ seem unperturbed by it.

Well, after impressing CBFC, let’s see if ‘Raees’ manages to impress the audience or not. We will come to know on January 25.

The movie also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the role of a cop who wants to stop Shah Rukh Khan at all costs, and Mahira Khan, the Pakistani actress who has been roped in to play the role of ‘Raees’ aka Shah Rukh’s love interest.
