PM Modi mourns Om Puri’s death, remembers his long career in films

Bollywood actor Om Puri passed away due to a cardiac arrest, today morning. Along with the entire film fraternity, even Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on the passing away of the veteran actor.

PM Modi remembered the actor’s long career in films and theatres.

He tweeted,

The actor took his last breath at the age of 66 and was found dead in his apartment.

Born on October 18, 1950, Om Puri belonged to a Punjabi family and appeared in mainstream commercial, Pakistani, Hollywood, independent and art films. He was also honoured with Padma Shri and two National Film Awards.
