Preity Zinta

After a long hiatus, Preity Zinta is set to make a powerful comeback to Bollywood with Sunny Deol’s ‘Bhaiyaaji Superhit’. The few years in between were pretty eventful. Preity’s maiden production venture ‘Ishkq in Paris’ flunked at the box office, and she didn’t make another effort in producing. Meanwhile, she also tied the knot with beau Gene Goodenough and is happily married now. She also owns a Cricket team in Indian Premiere League, which keeps her occupied as well.

The number of leading actresses who chose to bid adieu to Bollywood after settling down in personal life ain’t less. We thought she was following similar path.

However, Preity tells us it was her husband who pushed her to do another film! (Also Read: These films of Preity Zinta broke stereotypes in Hindi Cinema)

“I am not the only one, there are millions of women who juggle between professional and personal lives. They are not celebrated because they are not actors. In fact, the toughest job in the world is to be a housewife. There’s no appreciation, you have to work 24/7. But we professionals still get that gratitude from our work space. Having said that, women, in general, are superwomen. They take care of the home and work. They are very few men who do that. For me it is very simple, I am married, working and very happy. I am lucky that I am married to a person who actually pushed me into doing a movie. I thought I didn’t want to do any more movies and I moved to the business side of life,” she says.

Preity walked the Lakme Fashion Week Ramp in a red, black and golden Sanjukta Dutta saree and looked gorgeous. We can’t wait to have her back on the big screen!
