Salman Khan

Salman Khan has always been a favorite of controversies, but the recent one which called for unwanted attention was his tiff with singer Arijit Singh. Though the controversy seemed completely uncalled for, but it did call for a lot of hullabaloo. So the story began with Arijit Singh posting a big apology note on his official Facebook page addressing Salman Khan. This apology was for an act that Arijit had committed a few years ago which had apparently miffed Salman Khan. Following this, Arijit’s song from Salman’s upcoming film ‘Sultan’ had been chopped off! At least this is was what Arijit had claimed in his letter. But later, sources had revealed that Salman was not at all miffed with the singer and he has nothing to do with Arijit being replaced by another singer in ‘Sultan’.

Well, now Salman himself has come out in open and cleared all the air over this issue. We caught up in an interview with Dabangg Khan wherein he spoke in length about this controversy. At first, Salman refrained from acknowledging the singer by saying, “who Arijit?”, but later he said that many singers get replaced in a film and there’s no big a deal about it. He said, “In every movie, there are lots of singers who are replaced. People come and sing. It’s directors and producers who then make the choice that who would be the best voice for the film. One voice was mine as well, my voice was also rejected. They shouldn’t be upset, its life.” Further, he also spoke about the intention behind Arijit’s post. He said, “And then come those smart comments and posts. So the intention is understood why it has been written.”

Well, this controversy did get a bit out of proportion, but we are glad that it has now faded off. Arijit had made a few shocking revelations about the incident which seemed unnecessary.

Anyway, ‘Sultan’ is releasing on the day of Eid this July.
