Taapsee Pannu

Actress Taapsee Pannu who is currently riding high on the success of her last movie ‘PINK’, recently cancelled an event organized by a fairness cream brand.

Sources reveal that the event was to happen in March in Jaipur, but she refused to be a part of it as it was sponsored by a fairness cream brand. (ALSO READ: In Pics: Taapsee Pannu gatecrashed a wedding and had a gala time with the guests)

Confirming the same, Taapsee said, “I agree it was a last moment call but when I got to know that I will have to pose with the fairness brand during the event I decided to take my name out of that event. I have actually lost a few films because of being fair so I will definitely not propagate fairness in any way.”

The actress is of the opinion that promoting fairness creams is equivalent to promoting racism. On the work front, the actress has two movies lined up for release this month. Amit Roy and Shoojit Sircar’s ‘RunningShaadi.com’ with Amit Sadh and Sankalp Reddy’s ‘The Ghazi Attack’ that also stars Rana Daggubati, Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni.
