Fan is an upcoming 2016 film directed by Maneesh Sharma and featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a dual role in the Yash Raj Films 'Fan', as one of a superstar and the other of an obsessed fan.

Ra. One

Ra.One is a science fiction superhero film directed by Anubhav Sinha, and starring Shah Rukh Khan, Arjun Rampal, Kareena Kapoor, Armaan Verma, Shahana Goswami and Tom Wu in pivotal roles. Shah Rukh Khan was again seen playing two differetnt roles as Shekhar Subramanium and G.One. Ra.One received mixed reviews, with critics praising the visuals and music, but criticising the script and direction. Commercially, the film became the third highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2011 domestically, the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2011 worldwide, and broke a number of opening box office records.

My Name Is Khan

In Karan Johar's, 'My Name Is Khan' Shah Rukh Khan played a role of a mildly autistic man. My Name Is Khan created several records, both in India and around the world. Before its release, the film generated a great deal of publicity for itself due to three main reasons: first, the multiple political controversies surrounding the film and its lead actor; second, Shah Rukh Khan's presence in the film and third, the reunion of the "golden pair" of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, who last appeared together in the film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is a romantic comedy film written and directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra under the banner Yash Raj Films. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and 2nd movie of Anushka Sharma. Shah Rukh Khan plays a mild-mannered office worker named Surinder Sahni, whose love for the beautiful and vivacious Taani (Anushka Sharma) causes him to transform himself into the loud and fun-loving "Raj" to win her love. Shah Rukh Khan played two different roles as Surinder Sahni/Raj in this film very well.

Don 2

Don 2 starring Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Om Puri, Boman Irani and Kunal Kapoor, with Hrithik Roshan in a cameo appearance, the movie was praised for its action, direction and cinematography. Don 2 had a positive-to-mixed critical reception in India and a mixed reception overseas. Shah Rukh Khan played a role of Don, a drug lord and the narrator of the film. He has established his dominion over Asia, and sets his sights on organised crime in Europe.

Paheli

Paheli is a Bollywood fantasy film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji. Paheli is based on the short story written by Vijayadan Detha and tells the story of a wife (Rani Mukerji) who is left by her husband (Shah Rukh Khan) and visited by a ghost, disguised as her husband, who is in love with her and takes her husband's place. It was one of the Shah Rukh Khan's finest performances with a different look in beard and turban.

Ashoka

Ashoka is an epic historical drama film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead role in which Shah Rukh Khan played a role of Asoka Maurya and Kareena Kapoor as princess Kaurwaki of the Kalinga country. It is a dramatised version of the early life of emperor Asoka, of the Maurya dynasty, who ruled most of the Indian subcontinent in the 3rd century BCE. Shah Rukh Khan's Ashoka is all bluster and mannerism, with no depth. Except for the nosebleeds and the mudbaths, he is the same Shah Rukh of every other movie that he has acted in.

Devdas

Devdas is a 2002 Indian romantic drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and based on the 1917 Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay novella Devdas. Shah Rukh Khan played a role of Devdas, a wealthy law graduate in the early 1900's, who returns from his studies in London to marry his childhood sweetheart, Paro (Aishwarya Rai). However, the rejection of this marriage by his own family sparks his descent into alcohol, ultimately leading to his emotional deterioration. The film was a major commercial success in India and abroad, becoming the highest grossing Indian film of the year. Devdas was one of the Shah Rukh Khan's finest performances.

Darr

Yash Chopra's 'Darr' is the second film in which Shah Rukh Khan played the role of a villain. It is considered to be one of his best performances and earned him a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Villain. In 1993, Shah Rukh Khan won acclaim for his performances in villainous roles as an obsessive lover, respectively, in the box office hits, Darr and Baazigar.

Baazigar

This was Shah Rukh Khan's breakthrough role as the sole lead. Baazigar was the first film Shah Rukh Khan played the role of an antihero for the first time and also the first film which earned Shah Rukh Khan a Filmfare Award for Best Actor.
